Janet Stewart

Janet Stewart is the founder and owner of NRL Group Incorporated and creator of EXPLORE the World of Work. She is an expert in the field of Human Performance Technology with more than 20 years of experience in the public, private and education sectors. She is a dynamic master facilitator and trainer and is a highly skilled proponent of participant-centered learning initiatives.

Janet has a unique combination of working with employed adults in a wide variety of industries as well as school-aged youth to help them to identify their career interests and address their personal roadblocks to success. Having appeared as a guest speaker at events across Canada, she presented EXPLORE at the 2008 Association of Canadian Community Colleges Annual Conference, demonstrating how an Ambassador Program can increase PSE enrolment through helping youth to link school and work. 

Since 2002, Janet has created career-education programs that have been rolled out in three provinces. Her latest program, EXPLORE the World of Work provides elementary, middle and high-school students with the opportunity to participate in interactive career development learning sessions led by College Ambassadors

Janet is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers as well as the International Federation for Professional Speakers. She has a Diploma in Coaching Techniques from Seneca College as well as a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis-Xavier University.

David Ponter

David Ponter is an active teacher in the primary/junior grades in Ontario and received his Bachelor of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. His experiences have also taken him to Japan where he taught English as a foreign language for two years.

David is passionate about working with students who are unsure of their future career paths, having lived through similar struggles in his youth. With his first-hand experience he is well-position to help young people find their own future focus and create action plans to get them there.

Carrie Walker-Boyd

Carrie Walker-Boyd has been a workplace practitioner for more than 10 years and as a mother of two, is passionate about helping youth to discover their futures and make the connections between school and work.

Carrie brings considerable experience to EXPLORE the World of Work having led workplace training sessions in a wide variety of industries that give her insight into a multitude of career options and the training and education required to pursue them. Carrie has a Certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis-Xavier University.
