Teacher Activity Guide

Grades 7 - 12

Today’s workplace is a competitive one. Employees are expected to be experts on the technical skills related to their jobs and to have excellent “people skills” which are also considered to be “core skills” for today’s workers – they are essential personal skills that help workers to get their jobs done in an effective and efficient way and include:

• interviewing skills
• leadership skills
• problem solving skills
• how to value and respect a diverse workplace

The Teacher Activity Guide provides suggestions for helping students develop each of these skills. The Teacher Activity Guide also includes additional suggested activities for students in Grades 7-12.
